MyCheckins makes it easy to run asynchronous daily standups, weekly updates, and retrospectives. Founders and Managers use it to align priorities, get visibility, and free up time for everyone.
Our product is used by 100+ B2B customers across the globe. As we prepare to scale to 500 B2B customers, we’re looking to make our first full-time design hire to help us get there.
As a product designer at MyCheckins, you will help founders and managers across the globe improve team productivity with our product. This is a high-impact role where you will work alongside the founding team and help set up the design function from scratch.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop a very deep understanding of our users, user personas, and their problems.
- Explore the problem space, understand user needs, and develop hypotheses with the product and engineering team. Convert them into beautiful, easy-to-use, UI designs.
- Create wireframes and mockups to quickly test and communicate ideas.
- Collaborate closely with the product, engineering, and QA team to build, test, and roll-out features and changes across all devices.
- Identify core areas of friction in the product and iteratively improve the overall user experience.
- Speak to customers regularly and understand their pain-points & expectations with the product. Get meaningful user feedback through calls, tests, and more.
- Work with the team to build the playbook for product design. Help the company build top-notch user experiences for the next 500 B2B customers and beyond.
Skills and Requirements
You would be a great fit if…
- You have 3-4 years of experience solving product design problems for SaaS products.
- You are top-tier product designer — you understand your craft and are great at driving impact.
- You are proficient with the design tools and have a basic understanding of front-end languages.
- You are data-driven. You can articulate design processes, ideas, and solution to the team.
- You are excellent at working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, QA).
- You have the pedigree to grow into a design leadership role over the next couple of years.
- You have high agency and you are comfortable taking ownership of initiatives.
- You hold your work to a high standard — you understand how to deliver world-class user experiences and you are not simply content with good enough.
